Zanzibar teenager on playing taarab music on the violin

Teenager Neema Florence Surrie began to play the violin at the age of 9.

Since then, she has discovered a love for standard taarab music and performs in an all-female taarab music crew in Zanzibar.

She says that playing conventional music will be sure that it is not forgotten.
