A US senator has discussed that she was raped by a superior officer while serving throughout the Air Force.

Ms McSally discussed she attempted years later to share her tales with senior officers on the other hand met with “wholly inadequate responses”.

“I almost separated from the Air Force at 18 years of service over my despair,” she discussed. “Like many victims, I felt like the system was raping me all over again.”
