Rouhani says new U.S. sanctions have no effect on Iran economy

DUBAI (Reuters) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated on Saturday that U.S. sanctions introduced closing week have had no effect on Iran’s economy as a result of Washington had already almost reimposed them previous.
The recovery of sanctions is a part of a much broader effort through U.S. President Donald Trump to power Iran to curb its nuclear and missile methods in addition to its reinforce for proxy forces in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and different portions of the Middle East.
“The sanctions have had no impact on our economy because America had already used all the weapons at its disposal and there was nothing new to use against us,” Rouhani stated in remarks carried reside on state tv.
“They just issued a long list of banks, their branches … and airlines and their planes. And this shows that they are merely trying to affect the Iranian nation psychologically,” Rouhani stated.
The United States stated it might quickly permit 8 importers to stay purchasing Iranian oil when it reimposed sanctions closing Monday geared toward forcing Tehran to curb its nuclear, missile and regional actions.
